Facilities Engineer

About the role

The Facilities Engineer ensures smooth operation of assigned facilities by resolving complex technical issues, maintaining service quality, and supporting Facilities Managers in budget and client reporting. The role leads on‑site technical teams and coordinates with contractors to deliver reliable building services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical and commercial success of individual projects or groups of projects.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and landscaping systems.
• Review and implement maintenance schedules, engineering specifications and process flows.
• Optimize service delivery processes and develop cost‑reduction and management control systems.
• Prepare technical specifications for equipment and facility assets.
• Design facility‑specific control systems to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Evaluate contractor and supplier performance, draft improvement plans and ensure follow‑up.
• Respond to emergencies and client requests, escalating to the Facilities Manager as needed.
• Supervise in‑house technical teams for installations and maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of facilities management or engineering experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong exposure to client management, budgeting and service delivery.
• Knowledge of building systems, technical installations and HSE regulations.
• Valid UAE driver’s licence.
