Facilities Green Keeper

About the role

Emirates is seeking a Facilities Green Keeper to oversee the stadium sports and leisure facilities, focusing on cricket ovals and wicket blocks. You will ensure grounds and client support services are fully prepared and continuously serviced for each event.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with service providers for general maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Prioritise tasks to meet customer requirements while minimising disruption to stadium operations.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on grounds maintenance equipment, including cleaning tools, equipment, and machines.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene in working areas and client support facilities.
• Collect, reconcile, and secure cash payments received for sports and events teams.
• Assist in the setup and de‑rig of special events.
• Carry out grounds maintenance tasks such as grass cutting, pitch marking, weeding, planting, chemical applications, mowing, and watering.
• Provide assistance to other ground staff and ensure premises are clean and ready for client occupation.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of schooling or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in stadiums or sports clubs.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and visitors.
• Willingness to work shift and split‑shift rosters.

Required skills

• Experience with grounds maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Knowledge of hygiene standards for client support facilities.
• Ability to perform chemical applications and safe handling of grounds‑care products.
• Capability to conduct administrative duties such as cash handling and record keeping.
