Faculty Member – Early Childhood Education

About the role

The Higher Colleges of Technology seeks an experienced faculty member to deliver high‑quality instruction in Early Childhood Education. The role involves teaching, curriculum development, student advising, and participation in research and community activities within a second‑language learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver courses aligned with syllabus and program goals, employing educational technology and innovative teaching methods.
• Assess student performance through tests, projects, assignments, and provide continuous feedback.
• Advise and mentor students, including at‑risk action plans, internships, and work placements.
• Conduct applied research relevant to the faculty’s interests and national innovation priorities, and present findings at conferences.
• Participate in faculty, program, and system‑wide committees, and serve as sponsor or adviser to student groups.
• Maintain teaching facilities, prepare electronic course assessment files, and contribute to curriculum revision and quality assurance.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, or a Master’s degree with professional certification and at least 5 years of teaching and industry experience; a Bachelor’s degree may be considered with extensive industry experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in the relevant discipline and 3 years of industry experience (preferred).
• Experience developing curricula that meet accreditation and international standards.
• Proven ability to integrate educational technology into teaching and assessment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with educational technology resources for instruction.
• Experience managing course content and assessments using a system‑wide course management platform.
