Faculty Member – Engineering Aviation

About the role

The Higher Colleges of Technology seeks a Faculty Member to deliver effective instruction in engineering aviation subjects to second‑language learners. The role involves fostering a student‑centric environment, respecting cultural diversity, and actively participating in academic and community events.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and develop curriculum for engineering aviation courses, utilizing educational technology and ensuring alignment with program goals.
• Assess student performance through tests, projects, and assignments, providing continuous feedback and maintaining accurate records.
• Advise and mentor students, support internships, and monitor at‑risk learners.
• Conduct applied research relevant to national innovation priorities and represent the faculty at conferences.
• Participate in faculty, campus, and system‑wide committees and contribute to continuous improvement of teaching and assessment.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, or a Master’s degree with professional certification and at least 5 years of combined teaching and industry experience; a Bachelor’s may be considered with extensive industry credentials.
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in the discipline and preferably 3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience in curriculum development, accreditation standards, and incorporation of educational technology.
