Faculty Member – Nursing (Health Sciences)

About the role

The Higher Colleges of Technology seeks a dedicated faculty member for the Health Sciences faculty, specializing in Nursing. The role involves delivering effective instruction to second‑language learners, contributing to academic and community activities, and engaging in applied research aligned with national innovation priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nursing courses using practical, applied approaches and educational technology, ensuring alignment with syllabus and program goals.
• Provide continuous feedback and assess student progress through tests, projects, assignments, and other evaluation tools.
• Advise and mentor students, including support during internships and at‑risk action plans.
• Conduct applied research, participate in conferences, and contribute to curriculum development and accreditation processes.
• Serve on faculty, program, and system‑wide committees and act as a sponsor or adviser to student groups.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, or a Master’s degree with professional certification and at least five years of combined teaching and industry experience; a Bachelor’s degree with extensive industry experience may also be considered.
• Minimum three years of teaching experience in the relevant discipline and three years of relevant industry experience, preferably with curriculum development and use of educational technology.
