Family Medicine Physician – Outpatient Primary Care in Dubai

About the role

A reputable, JCI‑accredited multispecialty hospital in Dubai is expanding its primary‑care services and seeks a qualified Family Medicine Physician to join its outpatient department. The role involves delivering comprehensive, patient‑centred medical care to individuals and families within a modern, integrated healthcare setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide primary healthcare services to patients of all ages, ensuring continuity of care.
• Conduct thorough clinical assessments, examinations and diagnostic evaluations for acute and chronic conditions.
• Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular and respiratory disorders following evidence‑based guidelines.
• Deliver preventive services including health screenings, immunisations and lifestyle counselling.
• Develop personalised treatment plans, monitor outcomes and ensure appropriate follow‑up.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and allied health professionals and track follow‑up care.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or specialist qualification in Family Medicine (e.g., American Board of Family Medicine, UK CCT/MRCGP, European Board, Royal College, Australian Fellowship, Arab Board, MD/DNB/FNB/DrNB/DM/FCPS or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years post‑specialist or board certification experience in primary care.
• Eligibility for DHA/DOH/MOH licensing in the UAE (support provided).
• Strong clinical knowledge in preventive medicine, chronic disease management and patient education.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
