Field Service Engineer Internship – TareeGE

About the role

Join GE Vernova’s Grid Solutions team for a 12‑month Field Service Engineer internship in Dubai. You will work alongside experienced engineers to support substation automation, protection systems and cyber‑security projects, gaining hands‑on experience in the energy sector.

Key responsibilities

• Assist GEV engineers in preparing signal lists, schematics and bill of materials for protection relays, panels and automation systems.
• Support field service activities including protection logic diagrams, IEC61850 mapping, SCADA signal configuration and cyber‑security architecture implementation.
• Perform technical tasks such as CT/VT adequacy checks, relay setting calculations, cable schedule preparation and wiring documentation.
• Coordinate installation of substation automation components (DCS/SCS, RTU, fiber‑optic layouts, PC installations) and conduct testing and commissioning.
• Track project milestones, ensure EHS compliance, and manage PPE availability for internal and subcontracted personnel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Power, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Energy, Renewable Energy, Cybersecurity or a related field from an accredited university.
• UAE nationals are preferred, especially those holding a Family Book.
