Field Service Engineer – Water & Process Treatment (UAE)

About the role

Veolia is looking for a Field Service Engineer to deliver on‑site chemical treatment programs for major water and process accounts across the Abu Dhabi region. You will be the primary technical contact, ensuring optimal system performance and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site chemical testing, program follow‑up and first‑line troubleshooting for cooling, boiler, water & waste and industrial process units.
• Perform start‑up, commissioning and minor assembly of dosing systems, and diagnose larger repairs in coordination with the technical team.
• Generate customer reports and process data using Veolia’s platform, monitor stock levels and manage chemical injection rates.
• Maintain strong verbal and written communication with customers and internal stakeholders, supporting account managers during business reviews.
• Participate in health, safety and environment (EHS) training, report incidents and achieve assigned EHS goals.

Required profile

• BSc in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
• 4‑7 years of experience in process and water‑treatment chemicals within the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel frequently to customer sites.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities.

Required skills

• Chemical testing and dosing system start‑up/commissioning.
• Process water‑treatment chemical knowledge.
• Data processing and reporting using company platforms.
• Troubleshooting of cooling, boiler, water & waste systems.
• Basic computer applications and ability to learn new software.
