Field Technical Specialist – Roofing Solutions

About the role

Join Tremco, North America’s largest roofing maintenance service provider, and help build a better world through sustainable roof restoration. As a Field Technical Specialist you will support contractors across a defined territory, delivering technical expertise and sales support for our restoration coatings line.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site technical training, hands‑on application supervision, and product recommendations to contractors.
• Conduct roof inspections, produce written condition reports with photo documentation, recommendations, and material budget estimates.
• Perform pre‑project field inspections, peel tests, and product diagnostics to ensure correct installation.
• Maintain regular communication with customers, sales representatives, and regional managers, and submit weekly/monthly sales activity reports.
• Travel within the assigned territory (up to 25% overnight) and manage expense reporting.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; associate, trade school certification or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of commercial roofing sales or technical experience and 2+ years of roofing repair/troubleshooting field service.
• Valid driver’s license; Class B CDL preferred.
• Proven ability to work autonomously, multitask, and maintain strong work ethic.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
• Hands‑on expertise with roof coatings application and inspection reporting.
• In‑depth knowledge of commercial roofing systems (built‑up, modified, single‑ply, metal).
• Product diagnostic support and product line familiarity.
