Filmmaker Specialist

About the role

The American University in the Emirates is looking for a creative Filmmaker Specialist to produce high‑quality video content that supports university events, academic campaigns and brand promotion. The role will help strengthen AUE’s digital presence and engage a diverse student community through compelling storytelling.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all visual and creative aspects of video production from concept to delivery.
• Direct scripts, scenes and performers to ensure engaging and professional narratives.
• Define style, tone and mood in collaboration with art directors, camera crew, set designers and editors.
• Coordinate production schedules, budgets and resources to meet deadlines and creative goals.
• Capture and produce video content for university events, promotional initiatives and academic campaigns.
• Promote the university’s achievements and brand identity through impactful storytelling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Media, Film Production, Communication or a related field.
• Proven experience as a filmmaker, videographer or director with a strong portfolio of advanced video projects.
• Previous experience in hospitality or event videography is highly preferred.
• Strong creativity, storytelling ability and visual communication skills.
• Experience in budget and resource management and leading production teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
