Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the financial function of Desert Islands Resort & Spa, ensuring accurate reporting, effective cost control and compliance with UAE regulations. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the role supports budgeting, forecasting and strategic decision‑making for the property.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day financial operations and ensure timely, accurate accounting.
• Supervise the Finance team, maintaining efficient workflow and adherence to policies.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports and financial analyses.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, business plans and financial projections.
• Monitor revenues, expenses, payroll, cash flow and operating costs, identifying variances and improvement opportunities.
• Implement cost‑control measures across all hotel departments, especially Food & Beverage and Rooms.
• Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, cash management and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure all transactions are properly recorded, supported and reconciled.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards and UAE regulations.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing required documentation.
• Conduct regular financial reviews with department heads and provide actionable recommendations.

Required profile

• Minimum 60 months (5 years) of relevant finance experience.
