Finance Manager

About the role

The client, a well‑established consultancy in the built environment sector, is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead a high‑performing finance function in Abu Dhabi. The role will oversee financial operations, drive process improvements and support strategic decision‑making across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall finance function and ensure financial stability and growth.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain reporting frameworks for business analysis, forecasting and executive decision‑making.
• Monitor financial performance, profitability, utilisation and operating margins across projects and business units.
• Produce detailed project cost analysis, variance reports and performance dashboards for senior management.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and long‑term financial forecasting activities.
• Partner with operational leaders to align budgets with project plans and resource requirements.
• Oversee project accounting, revenue recognition, work‑in‑progress tracking and profitability analysis.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, working capital and treasury functions.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, corporate tax, labour regulations and statutory requirements.
• Develop and maintain effective internal controls and lead external audits.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Finance Manager or senior finance professional.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to influence senior leaders.
• In‑depth knowledge of UAE accounting standards, VAT and corporate tax.
• Demonstrated ability to lead budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes.
