Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the finance function for Sound Star Events, reporting directly to the CEO. Based in Al Khatim, Abu Dhabi, you will own the books, cash flow, payroll and management reporting, ensuring the business remains solvent and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain day‑to‑day bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable and perform bank reconciliations.
• Process monthly payroll, calculate overtime and submit WPS filings.
• Prepare and file quarterly UAE VAT returns and annual corporate tax returns.
• Produce monthly management accounts within 10 working days of month‑end.
• Manage cash‑flow forecasts and flag risks at least eight weeks in advance.
• Liaise with external auditors, accountants and banking partners.
• Support project managers with job‑level P&L reporting.
• Oversee equipment financing, lease arrangements and insurance renewals.
• Calculate and provision end‑of‑service gratuity for expatriate staff.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CMA or equivalent) with strong quantitative background.
• Minimum 5 years of finance experience, preferably in project‑based or rental businesses.
• Demonstrated UAE experience with VAT, corporate tax, WPS and gratuity calculations.
• Proven ability to meet tight month‑end deadlines and audit requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or Tally accounting platforms.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to build and stress‑test financial models.
