Finance Manager – Luxury Resort

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the financial operations of Desert Islands Resort & Spa, ensuring accurate reporting, effective cost control, and compliance with both company policies and UAE regulations. Working closely with the Director of Finance, this role supports budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision‑making to drive profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day financial operations and ensure timely, accurate accounting.
• Supervise the Finance team, maintaining efficient workflows and adherence to policies.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports, and detailed analyses.
• Assist in the creation of annual budgets, forecasts, business plans, and financial projections.
• Monitor revenues, expenses, payroll, cash flow, and operating costs, identifying variances and improvement opportunities.
• Implement cost‑control measures across all hotel departments, especially Food & Beverage and Rooms.
• Review accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, cash management, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure internal controls, policy compliance, and alignment with UAE accounting standards.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing required documentation.
• Conduct regular financial reviews with department heads and recommend actions to enhance profitability and efficiency.
• Manage inventory controls, stock counts, consumption analysis, and variance investigations.
• Support the Director of Finance in strategic financial planning and business analysis.
