Finance Manager - Restaurant & Bar

About the role

A recruitment consultancy is hiring a Finance Manager for a well-established hospitality client in Dubai, UAE. The role covers financial reporting, consolidation, compliance, procurement and team leadership across the restaurant and bar business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for each outlet and the group
• Manage financial consolidation of multiple profit centers and analyse performance variances across outlets
• Oversee the finance department's administration and ensure compliance with UAE VAT, corporate tax and labour laws
• Liaise with external auditors and ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality and DTCM requirements
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships and payment gateway reconciliations, including POS integration
• Calculate theoretical food and beverage costs, run variance analysis and control high-value liquor inventory (par levels, pour costs, bar stock reconciliation)
• Update recipe costs in the ERP system and monitor wastage, spoilage and breakage
• Negotiate with suppliers and develop procurement strategies, then oversee purchase orders through a three-way match
• Ensure alcohol imports and purchases comply with Dubai Customs and alcohol licensing regulations
• Lead, supervise and mentor the finance, procurement and storekeeping teams, and enforce internal controls against theft and fraud

Required profile

• CPA, CMA, ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification
• 10-15 years of finance and accounting experience, with strong restaurant and hospitality background
• 4-6 years of UAE experience in an established restaurant and bar environment
