Finance Specialist – Indirect Tax (12‑Month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Specialist to join the Indirect Tax Team within Group Financial Reporting, Assurance and Taxation. In this 12‑month fixed‑term position you will ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Excise Tax and other indirect taxes, supporting the financial strategy of a global aviation leader.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess activities and provide compliance assurance on indirect taxes (excluding ticket taxes).
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions in line with Group Finance Policies.
• Coordinate with external, internal and government auditors, supplying analytical information to resolve queries.
• Generate and compile tax data reports for UAE VAT returns and refund filings, performing multi‑level reconciliations between returns, ERP, e‑Invoicing reports and the FTA portal.
• Prepare, review and validate tax reporting outputs, including returns, reconciliations and management assurance reports.
• Participate in VAT and e‑Invoicing implementation projects, including user acceptance testing and system change discussions.
• Manage FTA audits, ensure ongoing UAE VAT/e‑Invoicing compliance and conduct regular process reviews.
• Support outstation VAT and e‑Invoicing compliance by delivering timely regulatory reports.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in indirect tax compliance, particularly UAE VAT and Excise Tax.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail in tax reporting and audit support.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and external auditors.
