Finance Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Finance Specialist to lead the financial operations of our tourism business. The successful candidate will be a qualified CA or ACCA with extensive hands‑on experience in SAP FI/CO, and will be responsible for financial planning, reporting, compliance, and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting functions including AP, AR, payroll and general ledger.
• Ensure timely month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close in line with FDA and tax regulations.
• Manage and develop the finance team through training, performance monitoring and task delegation.
• Prepare statutory financial statements, management reports and budget forecasts.
• Maintain accurate general ledger and perform balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital and key financial KPIs.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure regulatory filings are submitted on time.
• Implement robust internal controls and accounting policies.
• Utilise SAP ERP (FI/CO) for data entry, reporting, reconciliation and analysis.
• Collaborate with operational teams to optimise cost control and financial efficiency.
• Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on performance and industry trends.
• Lead ERP system upgrades and process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or ACCA (finalist).
• Minimum 5 years of finance/accounting experience, preferably in tourism or hospitality.
• Advanced proficiency in SAP FI/CO.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local UAE tax laws.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication abilities.
• Leadership experience managing a finance team.
