Financial Accountant

About the role

Gateworth is supporting a client in the legal sector to hire an experienced Financial Accountant for their Dubai finance team. Reporting to the Director of Financial Operations, the role focuses on accurate record‑keeping, timely reporting and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, including general ledger reconciliations and monthly management accounts.
• Prepare cash flow statements, assist with annual budgets and forecasts, and provide ad‑hoc financial analysis.
• Process monthly payroll, staff expense reimbursements and support time‑keeper set‑ups.
• Liaise with external auditors, ensure audit and tax compliance, and improve internal controls.

Required profile

• University degree in accounting or finance with a professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA).
• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment, knowledge of legal and trust accounting, SRA regulations and IFRS.
• Strong planning, organisational skills and ability to meet month‑end and year‑end deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in 3E accounting software.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of VAT and GCC tax regulations.
