Financial Analyst - Budgeting & Reporting

About the role

The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst for its Office of Finance. The role supports financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, and helps strengthen the University's financial systems, reporting tools and data-driven decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Support accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis activities.
• Ensure accurate, complete and timely financial information for management decisions.
• Support ERP-enabled finance processes, including Oracle and Banner, and contribute to process improvements, system controls and workflow standardisation.
• Develop, maintain and use financial dashboards, reports and analytical tools for management reporting and performance monitoring.
• Monitor financial data and transactions, identify discrepancies or trends and coordinate their resolution.
• Support budgetary controls, expenditure monitoring and forecasting against approved plans.
• Support system changes, testing, reporting requirements, data validation and user requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA or CMA.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting and budgeting within a large organisation.
• Advanced proficiency in speaking, reading and writing English.
