Financial Control Manager – Retail Controlling

About the role

The Financial Control Manager will lead Central Retail Controlling activities for Al Futtaim Retail Head Office, ensuring compliance with policies, robust checks and balances, and effective risk mitigation. The role partners with finance, tax, and audit teams to deliver accurate reporting and support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with transfer pricing, balance‑sheet reviews, inter‑company transactions and weekly/monthly reporting requirements.
• Lead month‑end closing, balance‑sheet clean‑up, misstatement reviews and corrective actions.
• Manage SLAs across retail brands covering cost allocations, loyalty programmes, revenue recognition, accruals and true‑ups.
• Oversee IFRS 16 lease accounting, PPE tracking, reinstatement provisions and related financial analysis.
• Coordinate store insurance, gift voucher, promotion and inter‑company transaction compliance.
• Prepare corporate income tax filings, support tax planning and optimisation.
• Drive AI and automation initiatives using Power BI, Power Automate, RPA and other digital tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field; professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA) highly preferred.
• 6‑8 years of progressive experience in financial control, reporting, audit or retail finance within a large, complex organisation.
