Financial Officer (Budget & Procurement)

About the role

The Financial Officer will support the organizational unit by managing its budgeting, procurement and financial transaction processes. This role ensures accurate financial planning, monitors expenditures, and maintains compliance with contracts and supplier agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and prepare the annual budget for the unit.
• Execute and monitor financial operations, including budget reservations, purchase orders and advances.
• Develop and follow up on the annual procurement plan.
• Implement and monitor contracts and service agreements.
• Prepare reports on approved amounts and completed transactions.
• Receive, record and process incoming supplier invoices.
• Prepare and archive supplier and agreement files.
• Review supplier invoices for mathematical accuracy and verify against contracts.
• Reconcile invoices with warehouse receipts and purchase orders.
• Perform any other duties related to the role as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• Minimum two years of experience in finance or related functions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with financial data.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
