First Officer – A330

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking an experienced First Officer to join its modern A330 fleet based in Abu Dhabi. You will work alongside the Captain to ensure safe, efficient flight operations while developing your path toward command.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Captain with flight preparation, navigation, and operation in compliance with Etihad procedures and regulatory standards.
• Maintain continuous monitoring of aircraft position, terrain, and weather to support safe navigation.
• Provide clear communication and support to the Captain for decision‑making and assume command if the Captain becomes incapacitated.

Required profile

• Minimum 2,500 total flight hours, including at least 1,500 hours on multi‑crew, glass‑cockpit aircraft.
• At least 1,000 hours on the A330 family within the last 12 months and a valid A330 type rating.
• Unrestricted ATPL or frozen ATPL with ATPL theoretical knowledge exam results, and a current Class 1 medical.
• Fluent in English (ICAO Level 4) and under 50 years of age at joining.

Required skills

• A330 type rating (valid for at least 2 months at start).
• Experience with glass‑cockpit, FMS‑coupled APFDS systems.
• Unrestricted ATPL or frozen ATPL qualification.
