Fixed Assets & Inventory Account Assistant

About the role

Aggreko is looking for a Fixed Assets & Inventory Account Assistant in Jebel Ali, Dubai, to manage the Fixed Asset Register (FAR), resolve PAV issues, ensure accurate asset accounting and maintain IFRS16 compliance across the region. This is a 1-year fixed-term role.

Key responsibilities

• Fixed assets: maintain accuracy of the FAR (asset details, description, GL, classification, lifecycle); perform fixed asset checks and coordinate calls to resolve complex issues such as GRA and BC allocation
• Support updates in the M3 system (via ATS/Wipro), resolve PAV discrepancies and carry out physical asset verification
• Reconcile the FAR, fleet systems and financial records, and execute asset accounting adjustments (disposals, reclassifications, write-offs)
• Keep IFRS16 lease data complete and accurate in Tagetik, and resolve legacy fixed asset issues to support audit compliance
• Inventory: explain monthly material price variances, review and update the inventory NEG/POS register, and reconcile GL against CAS (WIP, 20000, 20010)
• Review inventory provisions, slow-moving and obsolete stock, monitor WIP accounts and validate weighted-average cost valuations for high-value items

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in fixed assets and inventory accounting
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills, attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Good knowledge of reconciliation and provisioning

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems (M3, Tagetik preferred)
