Flight Simulator Instructor

About the role

CAE is hiring a Flight Simulator Instructor for a full-time position based in the United Arab Emirates. The role strengthens safety and operational readiness by preparing military aviators for critical missions, using advanced simulation technology and instructional expertise. ECFT team members also travel to Malaysia and Singapore for recruitment and programme support.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver simulator and classroom-based training according to approved programmes, lesson plans and regulatory requirements.
• Run briefings, debriefings, evaluations and coaching to support pilot development.
• Maintain licences, qualifications, certifications and regulatory approvals, and follow regulations, training standards and company policies.
• Keep accurate training records and documentation, and support trainees with performance assessments and remedial training recommendations.
• Help improve training curricula, instructional materials and training devices, and obtain instructor designations and examiner qualifications where applicable.
• Perform Right Seat Support duties and carry out other duties assigned in support of training.

Required profile

• Valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) issued by a recognised authority (EASA, FAA, GCAA or ICAO equivalent).
• Minimum 3,000 hours total flight time, including multi-engine turbine experience.
• Previous experience flying business jets in a commercial, corporate, military or training environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain simulator instructor qualifications and regulatory approvals.
• Preferred: ATPL ICAO and at least 1,500 flying hours; willingness to relocate to the UAE.

Required skills

• Knowledge of aviation regulations, aircraft systems, operational procedures and Crew Resource Management (CRM).
• Strong facilitation, coaching, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to give effective simulator instruction, pilot evaluations and constructive feedback.
• Ability to keep accurate training records and documentation.
