Flying Instructor - Emirates Flight Training Academy

About the role

The Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA) is a first-of-its-kind training facility in Dubai South, Dubai World Central, offering cadets a complete operational experience in one environment. As a Flying Instructor you will deliver high-quality flying instruction, initially on SR-22 single-engine aircraft, to ab-initio pilot cadets, with the possibility of moving to the DA42 twin-engine fleet once proficient.

Key responsibilities

• Provide training and flying instruction to ab-initio cadets, including on-aircraft, simulator and ground instruction.
• Conduct pre- and post-flight briefings so cadets understand procedures and processes.
• Deliver flying skills training and conduct regular checks to ensure cadets meet course standards.
• Monitor cadet proficiency and progress, and generate accurate performance reports.
• Ensure cadet safety is paramount, report incidents and violations, and research and recommend improved training methods.
• Deliver other flying-related training initiatives as directed by the CFI.

Required profile

• Experience as an ab-initio flying instructor in a large ATO.
• Minimum 700 hours total time, 500 hours instructional time and 200 hours IFR time.
• Minimum GCAA or ICAO Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with a single-engine class rating.
• Flight Instructor rating with night and instrument privileges.
• Class 1 medical certificate without restrictions.
• ICAO English language proficiency level 5 or higher.
• Exceptional instructional technique, computer literacy, and ability to attach the listed documents to the online application (CV, passport, CPL/ATPL, medical, logbook pages, English certificate, accident certificate, licence verification letter).
