Food and Beverage Team Leader - Ginger Moon

About the role

W Hotels is hiring a BandF Talent Coach for its Ginger Moon restaurant in Dubai Marina, Dubai. This is a full-time, non-management position focused on keeping the team working together to deliver optimum service and meet guest needs.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure staff work as a team to provide optimum service and meet guest needs.
• Inspect staff grooming and attire and correct any deficiencies.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies and tools, cleaning equipment and areas, and locking doors.
• Inspect storage areas for organization, FIFO use and cleanliness, and complete scheduled inventories and stock requisitions.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety and guest well-being.
• Complete work orders for maintenance repairs and assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline and coaching.
• Act as a role model and first point of contact for the Open Door Policy, and follow company safety and security policies, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions.
• Welcome guests, anticipate their needs, assist people with disabilities and thank them sincerely.
• Identify and implement improvements to efficiency, productivity, quality, safety and cost savings.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• At least 2 years of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Able to stand, sit or walk for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and move through narrow or elevated spaces.
