Food Safety & Halal Compliance Specialist

About the role

Join Emirates' Food Safety & Compliance team to safeguard the quality and halal integrity of all food and beverage supplies used in Emirates' in‑flight services. The role involves evaluating existing and potential suppliers worldwide, ensuring they meet globally recognised food safety and halal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute an annual programme of food safety and halal compliance audits for Emirates' F&B partners across the globe, including extensive international travel.
• Conduct independent, fair and thorough audits in line with internationally recognised auditing principles.
• Develop and maintain Emirates' food safety and halal compliance manuals and supplier self‑assessment questionnaires.
• Monitor supplier performance, analyse trends and recommend improvements to catering leadership.
• Liaise with Group Legal, Customer Affairs, Insurance and internal audit teams on food‑safety related cases.
• Prepare documentation for regulatory bodies such as Dubai Municipality and respond to audit queries.
• Deliver technical training on food safety programmes, GMPs, pest control, personnel hygiene and halal operational compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in food safety and halal auditing within a multinational environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally for on‑site audits.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP and relevant local and global food‑safety regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate findings to diverse stakeholders.
