Founding Software Engineer

About the role

Sora is building an AI‑native private wealth platform and needs a Founding Software Engineer to own major parts of the product end‑to‑end. You will work directly with the CTO and CPO, shaping both client‑facing and advisor‑facing experiences while accelerating the entire software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Use AI to speed up design, development, testing, deployment, operation and maintenance of the platform.
• Build client‑facing flows such as onboarding, KYC, portfolio dashboards and advice delivery.
• Develop tools for wealth managers to handle clients, portfolios and proposals efficiently.
• Create AI agents and workflows that power Sora’s planning and advice engine.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, data scientists and wealth advisors to turn insights into shipped features.
• Participate in on‑call rotation as the platform matures, ensuring reliability.
• Contribute to engineering practices, product direction, hiring, mentoring, processes and strategy across the company.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven track record designing, building and owning complex systems.
• Strong fundamentals and deep understanding of how the systems you build operate.
• Ability to execute the full software development lifecycle.
• Preference for simplicity over complexity in design and code.
