Founding Software Engineer - New Product

About the role

We are seeking a founding software engineer to transform an early real‑time 3D browser product from prototype to a robust technical foundation. The position is remote, based in the United Arab Emirates, and you will be the first engineer, collaborating closely with product leadership and an established engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Define the MVP and rapidly prototype multiple technical approaches, evaluating Three.js, WebGPU, WebGL, PlayCanvas and related frameworks.
• Design and implement the architecture for a browser‑native experience that integrates with an existing Windows‑native product.
• Establish an open‑source‑friendly architecture, handling multiplayer, content compatibility, and performance optimization across diverse hardware.
• Use AI‑assisted development tools to accelerate experimentation, implementation, and iteration.
• Provide technical and architectural leadership while contributing directly to the codebase and collaborating with product and engineering teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on real‑time 3D and web‑based game development.
• Proven ability to work independently in an ambiguous, fast‑moving startup environment.
• Excellent architectural judgment and communication skills.
• Strong product instincts, able to think both as a product owner and technical leader.
• Portfolio of games, tools, prototypes, or open‑source projects is highly valued.
