Founding Trade & Customs Product Advisor — UAE & International

About the role

TRADEVA is seeking a seasoned Trade & Customs Product Advisor to help shape its HS‑code and landed‑cost calculation engines and define end‑to‑end customs workflows. This part‑time, paid advisory position will support the launch of a digital platform that streamlines trade operations across the GCC, Asia, Europe and Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Validate and fine‑tune HS‑code and landed‑cost calculation models.
• Map UAE and international customs procedures and translate them into digital product rules.
• Design shipping, customs and documentation workflows for the application.
• Identify customs, logistics and trade‑compliance risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with freight forwarders, carriers, warehouses and customs brokers.
• Prepare TRADEVA for expansion across multiple trade corridors.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of hands‑on experience in customs, import‑export, freight forwarding or trade compliance.
• Deep knowledge of Dubai Customs, Jebel Ali Port, UAE free zones, customs valuation, duties, VAT and related documentation.
• Proven ability to convert practical trade experience into digital product requirements.
• Fluent English; Arabic highly preferred.
