Freelance Accountant

About the role

Coca-Cola Arena is looking for a freelance Accountant to join its finance team in Dubai. The role covers accounts payable and receivable, general finance tasks and administration, and follows the finance team's strategic plans, objectives, annual forecasts and budget targets. The position is open to UAE Nationals and is on a freelancer agreement, so the candidate must hold their own visa or sponsorship.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable ledgers, including raising, allocating and reconciling invoices and credit notes
• Perform monthly ledger reconciliations and ensure no outstanding debit or credit balances remain
• Prepare purchase orders, payment runs and customer/payment vouchers in line with approval processes
• Set up and maintain accurate vendor and customer accounts
• Perform daily cash, cheque and bank reconciliations across all accounts and manage petty cash
• Process employee expenses and handle account queries from customers and vendors
• Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls and UAE regulatory requirements

Required profile

• Degree or certification in Finance or Accounting
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
• Previous experience in the UAE, preferably in the event industry
• Fluent English; Arabic is a plus
• Own visa or sponsorship

• IT literate, including the full Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work unsupervised and under pressure, meeting deadlines
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Stakeholder management and teamwork
