Freight Specialist

About the role

Logistiq, a fast‑growing logistics company in the GCC, is looking for a Freight Specialist to manage end‑to‑end freight operations while delivering exceptional customer service. The role involves coordinating air, sea and land shipments, handling documentation, and supporting commercial activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor air, sea (FCL/LCL) and land freight shipments from booking to delivery.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, overseas agents, customs brokers and carriers, providing shipment status updates and ETAs.
• Resolve customer inquiries, complaints and operational issues promptly and professionally.
• Prepare and verify shipping documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin and bills of lading.
• Liaise with customs brokers to ensure smooth customs clearance and manage duty payments.
• Verify freight invoices, process operational charges and maintain accurate records of transactions.
• Prepare competitive freight quotations, negotiate rates with logistics partners and support upselling opportunities.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented and customer‑focused with strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience in freight forwarding operations, including coordination of air, sea and land shipments.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external service providers.

Required skills

• Air, sea and land freight coordination.
• Preparation of shipping documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading).
• Customs clearance liaison.
