Front Office Intern

About the role

The InterContinental Fujairah Resort, located on the Al Aqah Beach shoreline with 190 rooms, event space and restaurants, is looking for a Front Office Intern. The intern supports the daily operations of the Front Office Department, gaining practical experience in front desk services, telephone operations and bell desk activities, while delivering warm, professional and efficient guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests and assist with check-in, check-out, registration and general front desk operations under supervision.
• Answer calls professionally, direct them to the right departments, handle inquiries and relay messages accurately.
• Assist with luggage handling, delivery, storage and collection during arrivals and departures.
• Escort guests to their rooms and provide information on hotel facilities, services and local attractions.
• Respond to guest requests and escalate complaints or concerns to the supervisor.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Reservations, Concierge and other departments.
• Maintain accurate records of guest requests, telephone messages, luggage logs and shift handover information.
• Keep the front desk, lobby and bell desk clean and organised, and follow hotel policies and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience or on-the-job training in a similar position.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
