Front Office Manager

About the role

The Front Office Manager is responsible for all matters affecting guest service and hotel operations, ensuring maximum revenue while delivering excellence at every opportunity. This role oversees room availability, guest arrivals and departures, and overall satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive prompt, personalized attention throughout their stay and resolve any issues to achieve the highest possible satisfaction.
• Plan and implement availability controls for market segments to maximize room, food & beverage, and other revenues.
• Maintain high performance standards among guest‑contact colleagues, ensuring they are knowledgeable, friendly and courteous.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping to turn rooms efficiently and allocate arriving guests appropriately.
• Participate in decisions on occupancy goals, marketing strategies and rate development.
• Supervise the Front Office team to optimize occupancy and average room rate.
• Report trends, guest impressions and operational problems to management.
• Prepare emergency procedures in conjunction with the Emergency Response Team.
• Operate safely and environmentally responsibly, complying with hotel policies.

Required profile

• Experience in a front office or related hospitality role with leadership and supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong customer service orientation and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid organizational, multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
• Problem‑solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Bachelor's degree in hospitality management and relevant certifications or training.

Required skills

• Proficiency with front office software (property management systems) and reservation systems.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
