About the role
As a Frontend Engineer at Space42, you will design and build high‑performance user interfaces for a Big Data analytics platform, collaborating closely with product managers, architects, and backend engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable frontend applications using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Build reusable UI components and libraries, translate UI/UX designs into responsive interfaces, and ensure cross‑browser compatibility.
- Lead frontend architecture decisions, write clean, well‑tested code, and conduct code reviews.
- Integrate with backend APIs (REST, GraphQL, WebSockets) and improve CI/CD pipelines and testing strategies.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional frontend development experience.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Required skills
- React, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript.
- State management (Redux, MobX) and build tools (Webpack, Vite, Babel).
- GIS libraries such as Mapbox or Cesium.
- HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, WCAG accessibility standards.
- API integration (REST, GraphQL, WebSockets).
- Testing frameworks (Jest) and CI/CD with Git.
- Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Next.js or other SSR frameworks, design systems (Storybook, MUI, Tailwind).
