Gas Turbine Structural Engineer – Stress, Rotor Dynamics, Whole Engine

About the role

The Structural Analysis Engineer will lead stress and vibration analysis of gas‑turbine components across turbojet and turbofan programs, ensuring safety, operability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise turbine systems for life, weight, manufacturability and cost.
• Perform thermo‑mechanical, creep, fatigue, fracture, vibration and rotodynamic simulations at design and off‑design conditions.
• Conduct Stress, Low‑Cycle Fatigue, High‑Cycle Fatigue assessments and FMECA studies.
• Support FEA methodology development, review designs, prepare reports and testing guidelines.
• Mentor junior engineers and identify project risks with mitigation plans.

Required profile

• Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering degree (or related field).
• 5‑15 years of experience in gas‑turbine propulsion, mechanical design and structural integrity.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Siemens NX.
• Expertise in commercial FEA software (ANSYS, HyperWorks, Simcenter Nastran, etc.).
• Programming/scripting experience in C and Matlab/Simulink.
• Strong knowledge of mechanics of materials, heat transfer and rotordynamics.
