General Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a General Accountant to join our Finance team and support day‑to‑day accounting and financial operations. The role focuses on accurate transaction processing, bank reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with UAE accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions and maintain precise financial records.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor transfers, deposits, and payments.
• Coordinate with banks on account matters, required documentation, and payments.
• Assist with cash‑flow monitoring and bank position reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations, supporting schedules, and financial reports.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Monitor outstanding receivables/payables and follow up on pending items.
• Provide documentation for internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and UAE regulations.

Required profile

• MBA in Finance, ACCA, CPA or equivalent qualification (part‑qualified accepted).
• 4–5 years of relevant accounting experience in the UAE.
• Strong practical experience with banking transactions and reconciliations.
• Good knowledge of UAE VAT requirements and general accounting principles.
• Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
