General Accountant

About the role

Al Taresh Group is looking for a detail-oriented and organized General Accountant to join its team in the UAE. The role supports daily accounting activities, assists with financial reporting, manages reconciliations and ensures compliance with UAE VAT requirements. It suits accounting professionals with experience in financial operations, reporting and keeping accurate records.

Key responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare financial statements, reports and supporting financial documentation.
• Assist with VAT preparation and filing according to UAE regulations.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor financial transactions.
• Review invoices, payments, receipts and expense records.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure accuracy of accounting entries.
• Support month-end closing and financial reporting processes.
• Help with other accounting and finance tasks when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience in the UAE.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage accounting tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of UAE accounting practices and VAT procedures.
• Financial reporting and reconciliations.
