General Accountant

About the role

TrustLine Compliance Services LLC is looking for a General Accountant in Dubai to support its accounting, tax and compliance operations. The successful candidate will independently manage the full accounting cycle, prepare financial reports, oversee tax compliance and handle accounting work for several clients. The position is full-time, with an estimated salary of AED 5,500 to AED 8,500 per month.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounting cycle, including bookkeeping, journal entries and account finalization.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations, including preparing and submitting tax returns.
• Perform bank reconciliations and manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and the general ledger.
• Maintain financial records and generate accounting reports using Odoo Accounting Software.
• Oversee accounting and financial reporting for multiple client accounts.
• Review transactions and reports against accounting standards and company policies, and communicate financial updates to clients and management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional accounting experience in the UAE (mandatory).
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Preferred: background in an accounting, auditing or tax consultancy firm in the UAE.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of IFRS and UAE accounting standards.
• Hands-on experience with Odoo Accounting Software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax, including tax return preparation.
• Ability to prepare financial statements independently, reconcile banks and manage the general ledger.
