General Accountant – Odoo Specialist (Dubai)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented General Accountant with strong hands‑on experience in Odoo Accounting. The role is based in Dubai Media City and involves managing day‑to‑day accounting operations while ensuring full compliance with UAE VAT and corporate tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Odoo ERP for invoicing, payments, reconciliations and journal entries.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers and statements.
• Handle UAE VAT filing, return preparation and ensure compliance with FTA rules.
• Support corporate tax documentation and submissions.
• Execute monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities.
• Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable and receivable.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide required documentation.
• Generate financial reports through Odoo and deliver insights to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–4 years of UAE accounting experience, including VAT filing and tax compliance.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Immediate availability or up to a 30‑day notice period.
