General Engineering (VUQ) – Hotel Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The General Engineering (VUQ) role is responsible for maintaining and planning all hotel facilities to ensure full availability and serviceability for guests. You will oversee repair work, preventative maintenance, and reconstruction projects while supporting emergency recovery plans.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct operational tasks in the Engineering department according to service standards and procedures.
• Oversee repair, preventative maintenance and reconstruction work to meet quality standards.
• Implement and follow functional emergency recovery plans.
• Proactively communicate with team members to prevent guest complaints and ensure swift service recovery.
• Drive a performance‑focused culture by going the extra mile for guests.

Required profile

• Minimum certification in Maintenance Engineering or a related technical field.
• 1–2 years of experience in a similar engineering role within a 5‑star hospitality environment.
• Good knowledge of preventive maintenance for hotel assets.
