About the role
We are looking for a General Insurance Underwriter to join our Dubai team, handling a range of general insurance products and supporting client relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate risks for motor, property, marine, engineering, liability, group personal accident and other general insurance lines.
- Prepare, review and compare insurance quotations, terms and conditions.
- Negotiate premium rates, coverage and policy terms with insurers.
- Process new policies, renewals, endorsements, additions and cancellations.
- Coordinate with insurers, brokers and clients to issue quotations and policies.
- Maintain accurate underwriting records and ensure compliance with guidelines.
Required profile
- 1–2 years of underwriting experience in Dubai, preferably in general insurance.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Strong analytical, communication and negotiation abilities.
- Fluent English; Hindi is a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
