General Litigation Lawyer – Employment & Advocacy (Associate/Barrister)

About the role

This full‑time position is based at a Dubai law firm and is offered on a hybrid basis, combining office work in Dubai with remote work. The role focuses on managing a varied caseload of general commercial and civil litigation matters, with a particular emphasis on employment disputes and courtroom advocacy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end commercial and civil litigation matters, from inception to resolution.
• Draft pleadings, legal opinions, contracts, and correspondence.
• Prepare case strategies, evidence bundles, and settlement proposals.
• Advise clients on contentious employment issues and regulatory compliance.
• Appear before local courts and tribunals, conduct hearings, negotiations and mediations.
• Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to deliver high‑quality client service.
• Support business development activities, including client pitches and thought‑leadership contributions.

Required profile

• Strong experience in general commercial and civil litigation, including case management and drafting.
• Demonstrated expertise in employment law matters and related contentious issues.
• Proven advocacy skills with courtroom or tribunal experience.
• Excellent legal research, analytical, written and verbal communication abilities.
• Qualification as a solicitor, barrister, or equivalent in a common‑law jurisdiction; UAE admission or prior Middle‑East experience is an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and manage deadlines in a fast‑paced, client‑focused setting.
