General Manager – New Café Concept

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate General Manager to lead the pre‑opening and ongoing operation of a new high‑end café concept in Abu Dhabi. The venue will be part of an established hospitality group and aims to deliver a vibrant, premium food‑and‑beverage experience with warm hospitality and a distinctive atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the pre‑opening and opening phases, ensuring operational readiness across all areas.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, maintaining high standards of service, food and beverage quality, and guest experience.
• Drive revenue growth, profitability and overall business performance through effective budgeting, forecasting and P&L management.
• Recruit, coach and develop multicultural front‑ and back‑of‑house teams, fostering a strong culture of hospitality and accountability.
• Maintain a visible presence on the floor, engaging with guests, VIPs and key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Events and other support functions on launch activities, activations and partnerships.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a General Manager in a high‑end restaurant, café or premium F&B concept.
• Proven track record of driving revenue, profitability and operational performance.
• Strong financial knowledge including budgeting, forecasting, labour cost control and inventory management.
• Pre‑opening experience and experience with a recognised hospitality or international F&B brand is highly preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication and decision‑making skills with a hands‑on, floor‑focused style.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
