General Repair Technician

About the role

Join BYD and Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility, a fast‑growing EV brand in the UAE, as a General Repair Technician. You will perform maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on BYD electric vehicles while ensuring high safety and quality standards and delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, diagnostics and repair work on BYD vehicles in line with EV safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Ensure First‑Time‑Right repair standards, conduct vehicle inspections and support electronic vehicle check reporting.
• Follow workshop safety, quality and 5S standards and meet productivity and utilization targets.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to resolve technical issues and maintain a clean, professional workshop environment.

Required profile

• Diploma, ITI, NCVT, ITC or equivalent technical qualification.
• 2–3 years experience as an automotive, diagnostic or general repair technician.
• Experience in vehicle maintenance, diagnostics and repair; EV or hybrid experience is an advantage.
• UAE driving licence is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong technical and mechanical skills for diagnostics, maintenance and vehicle repairs.
• Good understanding of automotive systems and repair processes.
• Ability to follow workshop manuals and service procedures.
• Attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.
