General Technician – Facility Maintenance

About the role

The General Technician supports the smooth operation of Anantara Retreat by handling maintenance requests, ensuring health and safety compliance, and delivering prompt service to guests. This position works closely with the engineering team to keep all civil, interior, and FF&E finishes in optimal condition.

Key responsibilities

• Respond immediately to all work requests related to health and safety.
• Apply environmentally friendly practices when handling solvents and finishing agents.
• Address guest requests promptly and courteously.
• Maintain and repair civil, interior design, and FF&E finishes.
• Follow the preventive maintenance program to preserve appearance and functionality.
• Evaluate equipment and area usage and act accordingly.
• Complete work orders with diligence and maintain a daily logbook of problems, solutions, and activities.
• Carry out tasks assigned by the Assistant Chief Engineer.
• Maintain health and safety documentation and report potential hazards.
• Participate in the emergency response team as directed.

Required profile

• Ability to respond promptly to maintenance and safety requests.
• Familiarity with health and safety procedures in a hospitality environment.
• Experience in maintaining civil, interior, and FF&E finishes.
