General Technician – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

Al Raya Group is seeking a hands‑on General Technician to maintain and repair hotel rooms, facilities and equipment in Abu Dhabi. The role involves both preventive and corrective work across electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general fixtures. The position is full‑time and on‑site, reporting to the Facilities Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, plumbing, AC and general fixtures.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and internal departments.
• Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms and public areas to identify repair needs.
• Maintain maintenance logs and report recurring issues to management.
• Assist with minor renovations, painting and equipment installations.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards when handling tools and equipment.
• Coordinate with external contractors or vendors for specialized repairs.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in hospitality.
• Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Good problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Basic understanding of English preferred.
• Willingness to be on call for urgent repairs.
