Global Assistant Manager – Business Analyst (Maternity Cover)

About the role

The Global Assistant Manager – Business Analyst (Maternity Cover) will work closely with DP World’s Business Intelligence team, operations and commercial staff at head office and terminal locations. Based in the United Arab Emirates, this full‑time position focuses on delivering accurate business insight, supporting new business modelling and helping improve operational processes across the global port network.

Key responsibilities

• Develop business intelligence solutions using SAP Business Objects, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI.
• Deliver ad‑hoc data and report requests, analyse data discrepancies and support project data needs.
• Administer analytics and reporting systems, monitor performance and maintain user documentation.
• Provide system support to users in head office, regional offices and business units.
• Apply project‑management techniques to BI projects and services.
• Research BI market updates and ensure best practices are communicated to stakeholders.
• Analyse container‑operation KPIs, identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Design and deliver training sessions for overseas terminal user groups.
• Produce monthly newsletters covering project highlights, updates and BI news.
• Assist with business development modelling for new terminals and expansions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Proven ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.
• Understanding of port terminal operating systems, applications and terminology.
• Experience working with business intelligence tools and delivering actionable insights.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to data accuracy.
