Golang Engineer (Remote, UAE)

About the role

We are seeking a Golang Engineer to join a globally distributed, fully remote engineering organization based in the United Arab Emirates. You will help design, build, and scale high‑performance systems that power enterprise, cloud, AI, and IoT ecosystems worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust Go‑based software services with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production and user‑facing issues across distributed systems.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design sessions with global teams.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external open‑source contributors to refine specifications and improve system architecture.
• Enhance engineering workflows, deployment pipelines, and observability tooling.
• Occasionally deploy, monitor, and operate services in production environments.
• Provide technical advocacy, documentation, and knowledge sharing to support product success.

Required profile

• Strong academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience building production‑grade software in Go, preferably on Linux platforms.
• Deep familiarity with Linux system concepts (Ubuntu/Debian) and distributed backend architectures.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and ability to work across time zones.
• Self‑motivated, ownership‑driven mindset with a willingness to travel internationally twice a year.
