Graphic Design Specialist

About the role

Al Nahiya Group is hiring a Graphic Design Specialist in Abu Dhabi on a direct hire, long-term basis. The specialist creates visual media for a wide range of outputs, including scheduled promotions, publications, ad layouts, circulars, training programs, websites, social media, brochures, flyers and posters, in line with the academy's corporate identity, academic mission, marketing strategy and target audience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and design visual assets for scheduled promotion posts, ad layouts, circulars, training programs, website graphics, social media, brochures, flyers, posters and marketing materials that reflect the academy's corporate identity.
• Use the latest design software, especially the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), to implement designs accurately, easily and creatively.
• Stay up to date with design trends and compare them with other innovative designs to create distinctive ideas.
• Prepare designs according to international standards, such as cut and print sizes, RGB/CMYK colour modes and other format requirements.
• Apply colour theory to create harmonious and attractive designs.
• Modify designs according to the direct manager's notes accurately and on time.
• Specify the size and location of visual assets, including image size and font type, and save files in the required formats and quality, ready for printing in different sizes and shades.
• Design brand identity elements such as logos, business cards and marketing materials.
• Present design concepts to the line manager and explain the rationale behind design choices.
• Collaborate with external printing centres as needed to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality prints.
• Suggest registering with sites offering graphic design elements (e.g. Canva, Shutterstock, Freepik).
• Carry out other tasks assigned by the line manager within the scope of work.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related discipline.
• Professional experience of 3 to 5 years in graphic design; previous experience in the academic or educational sector is preferable.
• Specialized certificates in graphic design from well-known training providers are preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the latest design software, particularly the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Understanding of print design standards and colour theory
